This policy explains what data we collect when you visit jahaazi.in or place an order, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Rules, 2011.
Who we are
Jahaazi Outfitters Pvt. Ltd. (“Jahaazi”, “we”, “us”) is a private limited company registered in India, operating an online store at jahaazi.in. Our registered office is in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. For privacy matters write to privacy@jahaazi.in.
What we collect
You give us
- Name, email, phone, billing and shipping addresses when you create an account or check out.
- Order details — items, sizes, customisations (rank, ship name, embroidered text).
- Payment details — handled by Razorpay; we never store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN.
- Communications you send us (email, contact form, support tickets).
Collected automatically
- Device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).
- Performance and usage data via Vercel Speed Insights and Vercel Analytics — fully anonymised, no personal identifiers.
Why we use it
- To fulfil orders, deliver products and provide customer support.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To send order updates, shipping notifications and account emails (transactional, not marketing).
- To send marketing emails — only if you have opted in to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve the website, fix bugs and develop new products.
- To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Lawful basis
Under the DPDP Act we process your data on the basis of your consent (newsletter, optional cookies) or because it is necessary to perform a contract with you (fulfilling your order) or comply with the law.
Who we share it with
- Razorpay — to process payments. Razorpay’s privacy policy applies to data they collect.
- Delhivery — to deliver your order; we share the recipient name, address and phone only.
- Resend — to send transactional and marketing emails.
- Vercel — our hosting provider, processes request logs.
- Tax authorities, law enforcement — when legally required.
We never sell your data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records — 8 years (statutory retention under Indian tax law).
- Account data — until you ask us to delete the account.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics — aggregated indefinitely, with no personal identifiers.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Erase your data (subject to the retention periods above).
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- File a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below) or, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights write to privacy@jahaazi.in. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, all of them functional:
- A session cookie to keep you logged in and remember your cart.
- A consent cookie to remember your cookie preferences.
- Anonymous analytics cookies set by Vercel Analytics — these contain no personal identifiers.
We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; doing so will log you out and empty your cart.
Security
All traffic to jahaazi.in is encrypted with TLS. Payment data is tokenised by Razorpay and never touches our servers. Admin access is protected by strong passwords and rotated regularly. Despite these measures no system is perfectly secure; if you suspect a breach affecting your data, email privacy@jahaazi.in immediately.
Children
Jahaazi is intended for adults and serving cadets aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be notified by email to newsletter subscribers.
